As a pilot who needs to use a radio during flight, it’s crucial to have a language proficiency endorsement on your license, either in English or the language used for radio communications during the flight. Without this endorsement, you won’t be able to use the privileges of your license and ratings. If you aim to become a professional pilot, you must have an English language endorsement on your license.
The minimum acceptable proficiency level is the operational level, Level 4. It means you need to revalidate every four years to keep your license updated. However, if you could achieve a level 5 endorsement, you would only have to revalidate every six years. And if you manage to get a level 6, it’s forever.
